After nearly four decades in the business longtime FOX 4 News Dallas reporter and anchor Tim Ryan is retiring.
Ryan joined the station in 1981 and has been a fixture on FOX 4 News ever since. He has been the main evening anchor for the station since 1991 and has also served as a reporter and weekend anchor over the years.
In a statement Ryan said: “It has been my honor and privilege to serve the people of North Texas for the past 37 years. I will always treasure the relationships I have built with our viewers and the FOX 4 family. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life and spending more time with my wife children and grandchildren.
“
FOX 4 News Director Mike Simpson said: “Tim has been a trusted voice in our newsroom for nearly four decades. He is a true professional and a class act. We will miss him but we wish him all the best in retirement.
“
Ryan’s last day at FOX 4 will be Friday May 31.
