Michael J. Fox has been married to his wife Tracy Pollan for over 30 years. They met on the set of the NBC sitcom Family Ties where she played his girlfriend Elaine.
They married in 1988 and have four children together.
Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991 and publicly announced his condition in 1998. He has since been an advocate for research and treatment of the disease.
In 2000 he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Despite his health challenges Fox has remained active in his career with roles in such films as Stuart Little and The Secret of My Success.
